Jugglers win again while Dynamos stay atop in Jharkhand T20 League

Having registered their first win of the Jharkhand T20 League on Tuesday, Jamshedpur Jugglers continued in the same vein as they fashioned a 2-wicket win over Ranchi Raiders at the JSCA International Stadium in Ranchi on Wednesday.

KOLKATA: Having registered their first win of the Jharkhand T20 League on Tuesday, Jamshedpur Jugglers continued in the same vein as they fashioned a 2-wicket win over Ranchi Raiders at the JSCA International Stadium in Ranchi on Wednesday.
Having won the toss and elected to field first, Jugglers kept Raiders under a tight leash restraining them to a score of 111/7 in 20 overs.

Aditya Singh top scored with 33, while Prem Kumar chipped in with an unbeaten 29. Rahul Prasad and Atul Singh Surwar both picked up two wickets a piece for the Jugglers.
Chasing 112 for their second-straight win, Jugglers were propelled by Shresth Sagar (26) and Surwar, who top-scored with 28. Despite Vivekanand Tiwary’s four-wicket haul, Jugglers reached the target with two wickets to spare. Tiwary was adjudged man-of-the-match for his brilliant spell.
In the second match of the day, Dhanbad Dynamos defeated Bokaro Blasters by 7 runs to notch their fourth win of the tournament. Electing to bat first after winning the toss, Dynamos’ skipper Nazim Siddique cracked a 31-ball 42 with the help of nine boundaries. Siddique was ably supported by fellow opener Vishal Singh (22). Vikas Kumar also smashed an unbeaten 20 of just four balls that included three sixes to help Dynamos post 136/8 in 20 overs.
In pursuit of 137, Blasters could manage just 129/8 with none of the batsman making a substantial contribution to further the case. Rajandeep Singh top scored with 31 for Blasters, while the experienced Kumar Deobrat managed just 15.
Vikas Kumar was awarded the man-of-the-match for picking up a wicket and his flourish with the bat. With this win, Dynamos now sit at top of the six-team table with 16 points, followed by Blasters with an equal number of points and wins but with an inferior net run-rate.
